Rastamouse Causes New Race Row

It seems that some parents are not loving the new BBC kids show Rastamouse, as they feel it could 'cause friction in the playground' if their children are using the likkle natty mouses' slang terms.

In today's Metro, a parent is quoted as saying-

"My child is white and I feel if she was to say this (the mouses slang terms) to another child who was not white it would be seen as her insulting the other child"

So she basically doesn't want her child to say 'Wah gwaan bredgrin' to little Shaneeqa and she takes offence, rather than the two then realising they both like/love the same show and now have more in common!

The show has already received 95 complaints (Oooooooooh...) and has been described as 'like listening to a drunk white man do a really terrible rasta impersonation'.

The BBC said:

'Rastamouse is a part of a rich and varied schedule dedicated to reflecting the lives of all children'.

Surely there are more important things to complain about right now, 'llow di likkle mouse nuh lol
